Do you have what it takes to earn the title of Kansas City’s next Pinball Wizard Champion?
Studios Inc is partnering with Torn Label Brewing Co and Solid State Pinball Supply to host the Crossroads Pinball Wizard Championship!
What it is…
The tournament is open to all players and skill levels, even if you have never played pinball before. This is an International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA) sanctioned tournament worth World Pinball Player Ranking (WPPR) points. Even though this is a super legit tournament, the goal is to kick ass while having fun! Players can participate by registering for the tournament as an individual ($25) or get a group of friends and/or co-workers together and sign up as a team ($100).
How to play…
Each player gets 10 plays across 8 pinball machines from the 1960's through 2020 to get their best scores. Additional qualifying plays can be purchased for $2 a play. Qualifying can be done between 5pm and 8:30pm. We suggest getting your games in early - in case later hours are busy or you want to purchase additional tries.
Who will be the Pinball Wizard Champion?…
The tournament finals will consist of the players with the highest set of scores during qualifying. Finals are direct play using the matchplay format and will start at 8:40pm. Top 10% of players or more will be in the A division finals, depending on total number of players. The next top 10% of players or more will be in the B division finals, depending on total number of players.

Need more pinball? Two additional pinball games will be available to play throughout the event outside of the tournament. Attendees can challenge one another to a blindfold showdown ($10 to purchase a pre-printed blindfold). Winners receive beads and bragging rights.

The Crossroads Pinball Wizard Championship is an event that will directly benefit and support Studios Inc, a 501(c)3 non-profit, which provides studio space, professional development, networking, and public exhibitions for mid-career artists in Greater Kansas City.
