Brad Nicholson (Chairman) is the founder of the Studios Program and an avid art collector. His company, the Nicholson Group, is a boutique real estate development and investment firm located in Kansas City. While the company’s investments have a national footprint, much of the firm’s effort over the last 20 years has gone toward developing the Crossroads Arts District in downtown Kansas City, Missouri into a vibrant cultural district. He has served on a number of boards and was a member of the Board of Trustees at the Kansas City Art Institute along with his duties as Chairman the Board and President of Studios Inc.
Brad Satterwhite is a co-founder and Principal of KEM STUDIO and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional. KEM STUDIO is a design firm fusing architecture and industrial design. Brad is the recipient of design awards from the American Institute of Architects, Industrial Design Society of America and ID Magazine. He teaches an architecture design studio at the University of Kansas and an annual, multi-disciplinary design workshop with his firm at Virginia Tech. A Centurions Alumni, he has been involved in a variety of art and charitable organizations including the Urban Culture Project of the Charlotte Street Foundation and The Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City.
Frank D. Uryasz
Frank D. Uryasz is the Founder and former President of The National Center for Drug Free Sport in Kansas City, Missouri. Frank serves on a number of not-for-profit Boards including the Kansas City Missouri Police Foundation, where he serves as chairman; the Kansas City Art Institute, Mid-America Arts Alliance, Alpha Theta Chi Educational Trust, The Studios Inc., Penn Valley Park Conservancy and Bright Futures Fund. He is a former president of The Kansas City Club and former secretary of the Chi Phi Fraternity (Atlanta). Frank serves as the president of The Uryasz Family Foundation (Kansas City, MO) where he guides the Foundation in its philanthropic support of programs in five areas: education and school choice, pediatric cancer research, public parks, law enforcement and the arts. Frank and his wife Ann are native Nebraskans and reside in Kansas City, Missouri, and in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Kerri Reisdorff is a shareholder of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., a labor and employment law firm dedicated to defending employers across the Globe. Since 2012, Kerri has been named a Leader in her Field (Labor and Employment Law) byChambers USA and in 2014 was a recipient of the Kansas City Business Journal’s NextGen Award, an award designed to recognize Kansas City’s next generation of civic and charitable leaders. In addition to the Studios Inc Board of Directors, Kerri serves on the Board of ImpactKC and is actively involved in a number of other organizations including, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, the Central Exchange, and the Centurions Alumni Association.
Linda Nicholson is a former Creative Director at Hallmark Cards, Inc. with over 20 years of management experience. Linda is an avid art collector and now devotes much of her time to supporting not-for-profit endeavors in KC with a passion for animal welfare and the arts. She is co-director of the Bradley W. and Linda J. Nicholson Foundation, was a founding member of Great Plains SPCA and currently sits on the Studios Inc Board.
Jack Holland has a 35 year career in investment banking, and is responsible for numerous project financings of regional and national significance, including: The Sprint Center, Truman Sports Complex, Kauffman Center, Plaza Library, Kansas City International Airport, American Royal Exhibition Center, and Brush Creek Improvement Plan. He has served on a number of civic and non-profit boards in the Kansas City area, and currently serves on the boards of Theater League of Missouri, Quixotic Fusion, WaterFire Kansas City and the Western Golf Association. Jack and his wife, Karen, are collectors and active supporters of the arts in Kansas City.
Jeff Ganaden is currently employed by US Bank as a Senior Vice President and the KC Market Manager for the Commercial Real Estate Department. In this capacity he provides funds for acquisition, refinance or construction (including rehab) for non-owner occupied commercial real estate throughout the country – property types include multifamily, industrial, office, retail and hospitality. Some of his most notable recent, local projects include the Polsinelli office project on the Country Club Plaza and a variety of local multi family projects. Jeff has been involved in a variety of youth sports programs including board positions and coaching of youth basketball, baseball and football in Lees Summit, MO from 2003-2010. He has been advisory director of Operation Breakthrough since 2011 and serves as a board member of the Downtown Council. Jeff and his wife, Amy, reside in Lees Summit, MO with their three children.
Rachel Scott is with Ada Media. She designs adaptive marketing models by leveraging data, automation, and AI to enrich brands in the public and private sectors. Rachel has spearheaded projects for clients such as Barkley, Blacktop Creative, DST, Tableau, IBM, Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Kauffman Foundation, The City of KCMO, Burns & McDonnell. Some of her pet-project civic work includes the Mayor’s Task Force for The Arts, Arts KC, Launch KC, and the Mayor’s Bi-State Innovations team. Rachel proudly served on Mayor Sly James’ Challenge Cabinet for two terms to implement the Open Data Policy. Rachel believes in greater leaps in human advancement through tech. Most evenings she can be found practicing yoga at her favorite studio, Maya Yoga, or scaling the walls at her favorite rock climbing gym, RoKC.
Whitney Kerr Jr.
Whitney E. Kerr, Jr. is a native Kansas Citian who has worked in the commercial and industrial real estate industry for over 35 years and is currently Managing Director with Cushman & Wakefield. Whitney currently serves as a board President of the Missouri River Bird Observatory and recently accepted a trustee position with the Kansas City Art Institute. Along with his involvement in Studios, Inc., Whitney is excited to support Kansas City’s flourishing arts scene.
Mike Lyon is a full-time artist in Kansas City whose work is in the permanent collections of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, The Springfield Art Museum, the Miriana Kistler Beach Museum of Art, and other museum, corporate, and private collections. Mike received a B.A. in Architecture and Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 1973, a B.F.A. in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1975, and studied Japanese Woodblock Printmaking under Hiroki Morinoue in 1996 and 1998 and under Hidehiko Goto in 2017. Mike has served as Midwest Regional Director of Shotokan Karate of America since 1988 and currently serves on t he boards of the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, Colorado.
James Reed III
James Reed III considers himself an emerging patron on the path to becoming an art collector. Involved with Studios Inc since 2009, he came up thru “the ranks” by volunteering in every capacity available, including coordination of program development. His career experience ranges from facilities management and small business development to designing regional recycling programs. He has served on several business development association boards, and recently created westbottomsantiques.com to promote the development of an under-utilized business district in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kate Mead is an owner of Construction Interior Services (CIS) of Kansas City. CIS is a certified Woman-Owned business. She is an avid art collector and supporter of the arts in our region.
