Resident artist, Davin Watne, is curator of an exhibition at UMKC that just opened last night. Look Attractive will be open until January 14th. This exhibition features work from seven national and international artists who address the subject of attraction. Look Attractive investigates the convergence of physical, biological, cultural, environmental and societal influences on beauty.Davin was also recently accepted for a new residency program. In his words, "I have been accepted to a residency program at Pedra Sina located on Madeira Island off the coast of Portugal in November for two and a half weeks." While there, he will be using some of the churches' interiors as inspiration for a new body of work that will be debuting in July 2013 in Baltimore, MD.
