Opening Reception: ReModel by Miles Neidinger
The Studios Inc Exhibition Space is pleased to present ReModel, an exhibition featuring resident artist Miles Neidinger, on view from 11.11.16 to 12.16.16 with an opening reception Friday, 11.11.16 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM.ReModel is an exhibition of insipid objects and materials that are collectively charged with social signifiers and class identity. This work is a sinister response to a cultural drive to categorically rank material, organize our surroundings, and infuse our machines and structures with a hierarchical system of order. Miles Neidinger graduated from KCAI in 2000 with a BFA in Sculpture. Some of his recent exhibitions include: “The Lexicon of Propositions” at the Springfield Art Museum, “Everything We See is Never Enough” presented by Sprint at the Flatiron Building in NYC, “Museum Interrupted” at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Overland Park KS., “An Associate Degree in Science” at the Finch Gallery in Chicago, IL and “Charlotte Street Fund Awards Exhibition” at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS.The Studios Inc provides studio space, professional development, networking, and exhibitions for mid-career artists living in the Greater Kansas City metro area.
The 2016 Exhibition Series has been made possible through the generous financial support of Dr. Benjamin Meade.
