Our fourth guest in the Visiting Curator Series was Maria Seda-Reeder from Cincinnati, OH, who joined us at 21c Museum Hotel to discuss her practice and answer questions from the audience.

TO BE DETERMINED is an exhibition curated by the Studios Inc interns who have direct access to the Studios Inc collection, as well as past and present residents of the program. The title of the exhibition allows the interns freedom to develop and execute their curatorial concept and vision; it is suggestive of the drive of the students who are committed to developing their professional practice and honing their skillset.

“I gathered parts of objects, partial projects, miscellaneous drawings and ideas that had accumulated in my studio and in my head over the time that I had been in my generous studio, pulling things together and seeking synergy and a cohesive direction. Studios Inc and 21c Museum Hotel Kansas City are partnering to host a virtual Visiting Curator Series, in which regional and national curators are invited to share about their practices, goals, and vision in regard to establishing community and destination through a focus of fine art. Studios Inc intern, Sydney Smith, writes about Susan White’s solo exhibition The Untangling. The exhibition opens Friday, January 22nd from 6-8pm and will be on view thru March 6th, 2021.
